Contraindications for Waxing

Do not book a waxing service if you:

have rosacea or very sensitive skin
have a history of fever blisters or cold sores
have had a recent chemical peel using glycolic, alpha hydroxy, or salicylic acid
have recently had microdermabrasion
use any exfoliating topical medication including: Retin-A, Renova, Tazorac, Differin, Azelex, or other medical peeling agent
have recently had laser skin treatment or surgical peel
use hydroquinone for skin lightening
have used Accutane (isotretinoin) in the last 6 months
are taking blood-thinning medications
are taking drugs for autoimmune diseases, including lupus
are taking prednisone or steroids
have psoriasis, eczema, or other chronic skin diseases
have a sunburn
have pustules or papules in area to be waxed
have recently had a cosmetic or reconstructive surgery in the last 3 months
have severe varicose veins
